“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.”

A New Chapter, Same Heart

Originally established as 'The Mind Body Foundation – Counselling Center' in 2019, my practice has been a trusted space for mind-body healing in Chennai. As of October 2025, I proudly continue this journey as 'The Mind Body Counselling Center' – a refreshed identity that better reflects my focused approach to integrative mental health care.

While the name has evolved, everything you've come to trust remains unchanged: the same compassionate care, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and unwavering commitment to nervous system regulation and somatic healing. My space in Teynampet continues to be a sanctuary where mind and body wellness converge.

Whether you knew me through 'The Mind Body Foundation – Counselling Center' or are discovering me as 'The Mind Body Counselling Center', my vision remains constant: supporting your journey toward holistic well-being through personalized, body-aware therapy that honors both your mental and physical health.

What is Counselling & Psychotherapy?

Counselling and psychotherapy help alleviate a range of difficulties. Right from fatigue caused by the pace of living, frustrations that lurk in the background knowing you want to do better but not being able to, and being overwhelmed experienced during phases of transition, crises, trauma and other psychological struggles.

This process involves the presence of a skilled therapist who provides a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore many layers whi
ch have led to the current difficulty. Through the lens of compassionate curiosity, you get to develop a deeper understanding of your entire self (behaviours, goals, challenges) in your context and lived experiences. This new understanding coupled with the professional support provided by the therapist can lead you on your path to connecting with your full potential.

Why Counselling?

Therapy is an incredibly useful tool that helps with a range of issues, from anxiety to sleep to relationships to trauma. Research shows that it’s incredibly effective in helping people manage mental health conditions and experts say that it’s worth it even if you don’t have a medical problem.

Who is it for?

Some people come to therapy to deal with an immediate problem and, then they go on with their lives. Others want to explore deep issues of emotional and relational growth.

In the therapy process, we talk about life in a way that is different from everyday conversations. We connect with meanings underneath the circumstances and begin to notice patterns. The therapy process facilitates awareness by providing a safe space.

What is NOT Counselling?

• Giving advice.
• Being judgemental.
• Providing readymade solutions to the client's problems.
• Influencing the client's religious, moral, and value system to meet the Counsellor's preference.
• Getting emotionally involved with the client.
• A quick fix to all life's problems
